This is a model truck I built in 1977 when I was
11. It matches a Local Log Truck at that time. I won a model contest with it,
some of the glue is coming loose and it's getting dusty but it has held on for a
long time. I use to have at least 100 models. I still have some at my parents I
would always customize them some how. Don Oliver

2 different Peterbilt Heavy haulers. The 352 is of
course a classic AMT cab but mounting on a Revell's chassis, a third axle home
made, and the rear fenders coming Italeri. The 359 is really a Diecast
Metal from Revell, the rear chassis part is now a Revell plastic model. As this,
the chassis lengthened received a home made lift axle. and the Alaska
Peterbilt's fenders. The front bumper is a AMT Peterbilt Turnpiker 352.

Had to
take a break from the other projects and just get one done, you know how it
is....so I grabbed a snap pete and did it up real quick, I didnt do any
detailing really, just a little foiling and added the visor, changed the
mudflaps, and wheels and tires. Hope you all like it.

Flatbed and the KW pulling its oil tanker..I found
this setting and it sure does look like its in the mtns. The Mack and flat
are loaded with what I call steel pipe rails. I have found that measured
flat shoe laces work good for strapping. Paystar pulling an oil tanker.

I used a Revel 359 Peterbilt 1/25th scale model kit
and a Revel Australian KW W-900 Model Kit. Many modifications to the
sleeper, spot light, tanks & passenger back up mirror under passenger mirror.
All comes from the KW model kit the frame was stretched to add the double
sleeper and the original small sleeper was cut off the cab and the bed that was
supposed to be inside the sleeper was also cut off from the original interior.
The CB radio antenna's were painted white with red tips to match the truck in
the movie the tops of the straight stack were cut off & replaced with curl top
stacks that were from a Testors freightliner FLD-120 metal 1/28th scale
model kit. The truck also pulls a far west trucking trailer as the truck in the
movie mostly hauled a trailer but it hauled to trailers in the movie so I
decided to make my own trailer for this model kit the quarter fenders also
painted black to match the truck in the movie, there was also a chrome visor
added to match the appearance in the movie also. There also was a big
breather added on the drivers side added. The truck is powered with a cummins
engine as well as the one from the movie. The chrome door handles, vents &
straps on the breathers were painted with a silver sharpee the chrome on the
sleeper at the bottom of the sleeper was a chrome pin stripe. the light "except
the head lights" were all hand painted orange. Movie is
