Ertl kit 8001 IH Transtar F4270.  Model started life as a F4300 cut down to a F4270.  During early painting stages, the yellow plastic from the sleeper was transparent under the paint giving it a different hue than the (blue) cab and hood.  In order to fix this I just used the same yellow plastic, I painted it like the 4300 because my decals were not usable.  Drivers side has a cut down gas tank and the passenger side has a step ladder.  Used sun visor and headlights from 4300 but otherwise it is stock with the Cummins 903 under the hood.     Jeff Regan

Trying out some bare metal foil here, guess its not gonna be to bad. Really wish I hadn't painted these colors now but oh well.      Dave Rivers

This Ford shorthauler had the frame shortened, the van type body and related parts were put into the inventory box for future use.  A tractor package was built from scratch, rails, 5th wheel, fenders from the tops of spray paint cans...hope to finish in the next 2 or 3 weeks.     Don Parrish

2 models I am working on.  International 4900 single axle dump truck, Mack LT flat bed with pup trailer.     Dave Natale

I am working on reproducing these parts, the slowest part was building up the latex moulds, pouring & demoulding took only about half hour using fiber glass resin (without the glass), these still need flashing cleaned up.  If you look carefully the the detail in the lettering has been replicated faithfully.     Paul Moralee

I took what was left from the can do wrecker body and I had a LA Recovery truck and I made the wrecker body out of the two and I also added some, look at the pics and you will see the added things I did to make it.  Also a custom job the truck is a cabover Peterbilt.  I am also going to add a different set of headlights to the truck, that's why the hole are a little bigger.      Gary
