The tractor I posted about a year ago. It is
an Italeri Freightliner FLD that I received as a partial built up. I stripped it
down and finished it almost straight out of the box. I did swap in round hole
Alcoas for the front axle and Plaskit two hole Budds for the drivers. The
trailers are made from two Italeri 48' refers. To keep it Oregon legal, the load
is cut down to 40' and the pup is 28'. Both trailers are otherwise built the
same. I modified the kingpin plate to make it more realistic. The suspensions
were made into fixed tandems. I added air tanks, slack adjuster and brake
plumbing. The rear bumpers were made from using the upright pieces from the kit
and Evergreen stock. They were then detailed with electrical connections,
gladhands, and pintle hitches from Plaskit. The con gear is the extra dolly from
the US Mail kit with resin flap hangers, chains, and basket made from K and S
brass mesh. The dolly is a also fully plumbed. Dolly wheels and trailer wheels
are all two hole budds from Jamie. Trailers and dolly license plates were made
from a computer image that was Photoshiped to make three unique License plates.
The model is a 47" long and just barely squeezes into my display case.

This black ford tractor was pictured in the "in
progress" section recently...the trailer was built using the top from one of the
double trailers by AMT...the under carriage was from evergreen plastics...the
tires and wheels from the inventory box...the board road mats from scratch using
popsicle sticks. Don Parrish

Custom pete that originally planned to build to use
as a promotional photo using as many of our resin products as possible,
somewhere I lost course, started with reworking the resin hood and deciding to
go with a 48" bunk. Turnpiker wheels, Italeri oversized steering, super single
rears. Budd Ricker
I rebuilt a IMC Dodge L700 model using the Linberg
re-issue into a water wagon. I extened the frame and added a tandem axle set
from the AMT snow plow, an auxillary transmission, a water tank (made from the
old IMC tank trailer kit), a front mounted water pump, steering parts made from
brass, outside mirrors made from brass, new front and rear bumpers and a front
spray bars. 90% of the parts I used were new or scratch built.

Resin IH 4900 with a swaploader roll back unit on
it.the truck is a replica of a guys small fleet of these he asked me to build a
replica of one. I did it but I have to say I will not be doing any small
trucks like this anytime soon, I really didn't enjoy building it because as you
all know I like building tractor trailers, anyhow I am happy to say its complete
and being delivered today. Ron
Older western star and a kw k-100 aerodyne. I have
had these 2 rigs since the late 90's and they have survived 4 cross country
moves with me. note that my trucks and trailers all have alaska plates on them,
and are mostly made for the heavier hauling. These 2 trucks have been thru the
ringer and still are with me. but here are 2 tankers, the chrome tanker I built
over a year ago and the rusty tanker i built last summer as an older early 70's
tanker, i just got these out of storage and put the little lights and such back
on. Pete
