January In Progress 2010

Here is a work in progress, it is the Revell 359 kit with only slight modification, I have a set of straight pipes in the works and maybe some heavy haul gear.     Paul Crocitto

Here is the reissued freightliner dual drive in progress, it is painted honda hamstead green as it is the closest color I have found to strescon green that can be bought in a spray can. During last months update someone built a midland based rig, the color is very much the same as they are all owned by the same family in new brunswick, namely the Irving family.  The other green cab is the IH S-line 2500 which is next to be built and it will be a replica of the rig I learned to drive in. The cabover is loosley based on a 1990 model cabover they had.  Also in the pics is an Italeri Pete 378 and an AMT autocar just waiting on some badging and other small things.    Ken Hatfield

This is a built up that I received. I saw one in the wheels of time that I thought looked very sharp. This one came with a torsion bar suspension. This is the first time I have ever saw this on a K100.      Ken Dubuc

Revell USA Snap Pete 359. Modifications include the interior, the hood and grill, as well as the front and rear suspensions. The engine is the Silver 92 from AMT's Kenworth K100 Aerodyne kit. The hood has been modified for a single air cleaner mounted to the driver's side.       Ray DeJesus

96 IH 9670. It will have an isx cummins powering it with an auto shift tranny, mich floats on front and alot of add on stuff as I go. The trailer is an 09 benson 724 48 ft 4 axle rolltite. The canvas will be a fastrax rolltite system. www.tarpstop.com truck and trailer will be all black and pretty suited up with all the goodies. The bulkhead even has a mandoor to get inside the trailer.      Ron

I am passionate about big rigs.  Alain Boyer ?   France

Since I was raised up being around produce and being hauler as well this was long time build. The truck is a ebay rebuild, it's one of the old AMT with Corner doors, extra parts are double hump fenders from Bobby and resin brakes from MO or Jamie? since the photos head lights and cab lights have been added. Trailer it too is a ebay save I had to replace the 2 sides with flat stock. Hinged the driver side and added a table with box's made from wood stock and added a coke machine. Thermoking is from flat sheet stock with KFS door locks. I would call it done but still needs decal work.    Clayton Shepard

Here is the scratch built Dickerson Oilfield Float Trailer to compliment the Mack.  Stock Styrene plastic used "I" beams custom built. Will have real Oak wood planks for the floor to scale. Will be painted red along with proper decals/reflective DOT tape, marker lights, etc...Mild weathering to be applied. Will have polished aluminum wheels.      Kurt McLucas

I'm working on this 1/24 scale Mack Superliner "Large sleeper bunk" the chassis was stretched 400 mm and the sleeper bunk was complete scratch built (copy from resin STS sleeper bunk) by using evergreen sheets those door are from peterbilt 377 the rear suspension is from peterbilt 377 chassis was wired up to air bags, brakelines the engine will be Mack E9 on the way and haven't thought of color/decal yet.      Geoff Hutchings

Here are some pics of my 359. Its been lowered, stretched and has scratch built half fenders and drop panels on the cab and sleeper and the visor, also dual air cleaners, the kit was single. The end dump is a trailer being built as a joint venture by mysled and Mark Wilson for another modeler Justin Nunnelly. The trailer is all scratch built, its modeled after a 28ft reliance tub dump.        Brad Jones

This is my in progress caozd style lowboy, jeep and booster, the goose necks are switchable and the work.         Brad Jones

This is the reissue of the freightliner dual drive, I am back dating the cab, changing it to stirrup style steps and single headlights.     Jim Brown
