October 08 In Progress

Almost complete con gear     Paul Bernard

Mercedes Benz 1222 LF16 fire truck. This was built out of the box and painted in Tamiya "Bright Red" from a rattle can. The kit itself is more than 20 years old, yet still builds up nicely.  Brendan

Here is a half cab mack that's been in the works for the last year or so.  In the 70's then in 06 or 08, not being happy with it I started a rebuild.  Clayton Shepard

The Freightliner Lowliner is almost finished, the Chevrolet just needs painting. Can't decide what color though.  The Pete is still under construction but looks promising with sliding curtains.  Rolf Mulder

The truck-tractor was a Ford short hauler, the box was discarded, the wheelbase length was shortened and a tractor package was added...the low-boy drop deck was changed from 3 axles to 2 axles, the axles are functional...the top deck was modified to be a gooseneck.  Don Parrish

1996 IH 9400 I'm building for a friend.  Leo Vanderstelt

I've ordered some resin full fenders and I need to make a better visor.  Kenny Garcia

JD backhoe progress & some hard to get bits I'm reproducing.  Paul

The truck is slated to be a heavy duty FLD SD tractor, using the Italeri Freightline Aerodyne kit. A Detroit Diesel series 60 engine was built for it...which will be fully detailed...a custom made Road-Gear headache rack. All the chrome was (de-chromed) Alclad stainless steel, polished aluminum and chrome will be reapplied. Ordered parts from KFS...photo-etched stacks, aluminum fuel tanks..etc. Final color for the cab and chassis will be Freightliner Viper Blue from Dupont.  Kurt McLucas

T142 Scania that has been converted to right hand drive.  Both trailers started out as forty foot container trailers, but the lead trailer has had extensive modifications done.  Rod

I got a little more done to it, I made sign boards for the P.I.E. signs, I have the foiling done, and most of the paint work, you can see the wheels and tires, (these are awesome! they are resin items from Mo'luminum) I am currently working on the frame and interior, hope to have this done in the next week or so. I also got really lucky on decals, the truck number starts with TT, if you look at pictures of the 1:1 P.I.E. trucks that is how their numbers started also.  Jim Brown

Somemore work on my Diamond-Reo water truck. The first is the glue bomb I started with. The finished interior, and the tank being worked on. The tank was derived from the Opel Blitz fire engine kit. Lastly, the tank in primer, and after it was painted with thinned down craft acrylic paint.  Evan Hermel

2nd pic is my Paystar that started off with AMT's Paystar dump truck kit. Added resin super singles to the front. The rear lift rails made from styrene. Lift cylinders made from aluminum tubing that raise and lower. Used photos from work as reference for the rear lift rails. There is a waste container in the works for the rear of the truck.  Mike Johansen

    Peterbilt 378        Tim Ahlborn

Base kit is the Fruehauf flatbed with air ride suspension and super singles from Italeri kits.  Jerry Reeter

International 1/2 cab mixer, cab is from the payhauler, mixer from the paystar, twin steer with MO' Aluminum floats and rear tires, engine is the IH V8.  Jerry Reeter

These are for a white 9000 mixer, base kit is the white road boss, aftermarket parts include tires, the 9000 hood, detroit 6V71T, and the cook-challenger mixer.  Jerry Reeter

    Aussie T 950 B Double     Paul

Well, here it is.  Not quite done yet.  It's my first 1/24 Peterbilt build, box stock.  Dave Rivers

Had to put aside the Mack CL-700 tri axle dump and the Int Paystar dump for awhile.  The Kenworth on the shelf needed some attention.  It's a Plaskit T-800 hood convertion on a T-600 frame and the sleeper from a Movin on Kenworth.  Also added a A.I.T.M. headache rack (with a couple of additions, then took one of the flatbeds on the shelf to giver her something to pull, and can't forget the load,) so I added some coils, still need a couple finishing touches (tie downs), but it was a fun build.  William Saunders

The scania is heavily modified, the bonnet vent was swapped over, the cab was also modified so the window is now on the lhs and the rh has the filler panel, chassis and steering was also converted to rhd, relocated air tanks ect, scratchbuilt fuel tanks, all the logging guards are scratchbuilt, being built up as a replica of one my Dad drove, still along way to go.  Next is the old K series inter, a jaymar cab on a modified alf chassis, tray plus lots more scratchbuilt, big 6 cyl carby car engine ad trans from an old chevy.  Next is an extendable trailer, started as a built up I acquired, I converted it to a tri axle and scratchbuilt up a new Australian style deck and coaming for it, guards are made dom an old caulking tube cut to suit, since the pics I have the decking ect in place, I only need to scratchbuild the gates and finish off the new scratchbuilt rear underrun bar, hope to have completed pics for next month.  Danny Turner
